Leyland menu: Home 1946 - 1955 1956 - 1970 1971 - 1982 1983 - 1995
These lists are arranged (where possible) in yearly batches, based on the first two digits of the Leyland serial number, in chassis number order, detailing the chassis model, body type, date new, original owner/fleet number/registration, last known UK operator (in the case of secondhand vehicles), all known Irish owners and disposal. As Olympians, Nationals, Lynxes, Royal Tigers and later Tigers have separate number ranges, these are detailed on the 1983 to 1995 page. These pages do not include passenger vehicles not known to have served with Irish operators, or any trucks produced by Leyland. Further data will be added as time allows, and corrections or updates to the information on these pages are also welcome, particularly in relation to the "mystery" vehicles listed below. So far 8,091 vehicles have been traced (along with 45 "mystery" vehicles), with thanks in particular to Dick Gilbert, Kevin Horgan, Simon Lang and Will Hughes for their help. Additional info has been gleaned from other websites, books, photographs etc., and it is hoped that these pages will serve to be as accurate as possible a record of all Leylands in Ireland.
