209 IK was the first vehicle to be acquired, from Bus Eireann in February 2001, and is the only one with a fully automatic gearbox.
Ex Ulsterbus 1868 was acquired from Bus Eireann in 2002, and is seen alongside one of the Duple Dominant bodied Bedfords acquired for spares, in this case 863 MIP, originally NMC 600R.
127 IK is a DAF powered version of the Leopard pictured above. Note the marker lights on the roof dome.
YZY 233 was new to Wessex of Bristol as LAE 892L, its plate being just visible behind the nearside windscreen. Unfortunately the body was heavily corroded and beyond restoration.
YIY 927 was one of several Duple bodied Bedfords new to Crosson Transport of Drogheda between 1975 and 1982.
79-WW-61 was new to Fleet Coaches of Hampshire as EPC 898V, with fleet number B46.
Ex Bristol Omnibus and Wharton of Crossdoney ECW bodied Bristol LH6L 685 DID (KHU 318P) was new in 1976.
The ex Excelsior Plaxton bodied Ford R1114 82-KE-588 (VJT 606X) was the first front engined vehicle to join the collection, but has since been joined by more Fords.
A543 XLG was at one time the smallest and newest coach in the collection but has since been sold for continued preservation.
This Plaxton bodied Leopard, 81-D-1875 was new to Wallace Arnold as PNW 313W.
476 ZY represents the former Ben Stanley fleet, and is a 1979 Plaxton Supreme bodied Bedford YMT. This photo was taken on board the Irish Ferries vessel "Ulysses" on the night of October 16th 2004, as it was leaving Ireland after 19 years. Behind it is one of the new Bus Eireann VG class Volvo coaches.
MCH 351W was new as National Coal Board LP1442, and was acquired from Carreglefn Coaches in Wales.
And the only rear engined bus to date, again with Bournemouth connections, seen on its arrival in Dun Laoghaire on May 17th 2003 (photo by Kevin Horgan), with an older shot of it in service in Lancaster in 1987 (photo by Shane Conway).
UZY 705 is the first vehicle in the collection with Scottish origins. It is in need of major restoration work.
FDU 806T was originally bought for restoration but was severely damaged while being towed back to the yard and has been broken up for spares.
80-D-1162 is a Plaxton Supreme bodied Ford R1114, acquired from Wharton Coaches, Crossdoney. Here it is seen on Wharton’s Cavan-Longford service at Longford Station.
MNW 343F was new to Wallace Arnold in 1968, and is a 30 feet long Leyland Leopard used originally for tours to the Scottish Islands.
UEY 441T is a 1978 Duple Dominant bus bodied Bedford YMT, one of a number which were used to replace the last Atlanteans in the Maidstone Borough Council fleet. It was originally registered AKK 172T.
81-LH-379 was new to Rover Bus Service, Chesham as SNM 441W. It is thought to be the first coach with this chassis and body combination
Former Hants and Dorset RRU 594N is believed to be the sole surviving ECW bodied Ford. It has been purchased and efforts are now being made to move it to a safe storage area.
One of four Daimler Fleetlines acquired from O'S Coaches is this Roe bodied bus new to Grimsby Cleethorpes Transport as MBE 612R.
The four Daimler Fleetlines acquired from O'S Coaches also included three MCW bodied buses new to West Midlands PTE, with the former 6918 shown above, 6919 below, and finally 6985. These were the last double deck buses to work for O'S Coaches.
