Leopard and Ailsa for sale
We have a 1981 Leyland Leopard Alexander Y-type dual purpose bus TMS 405X (new to Scottish Bus Group), semi-auto
gearbox, 49 coach seats.
The Leopard MOT has just expired but we would provide her new owner with a new Class 5 or 6 MOT on purchase. The
Ailsa has a Class 6 MOT until May 2012. Both buses deserve to be preserved and both are in good physical and

Leicester PD3 for sale
Leicester Leyland PD3 for sale, 1964, now converted to live in. All windows downstairs have been professionally
panelled over and she has a shower unit fitted, a bunk bed, space for a woodburner, front and back doors, drawers
and spaces for storage downstairs and partition walls upstairs. She also has electrics all wired in, but we will
be keeping the solar panel, leisure batteries and inverters for another vehicle. Ideally she would be best used as
a home, cafe, exhibition or playbus. She has a long history of many lives, including a cinema at one point! Please
be aware that due to her colourful life she is far from perfect for 44 years old; she has quite a few dents etc to
bodywork and will need a good clean and a lick of paint inside, but she runs nicely and only need minimal work to
get her up to top condition. The main this is, she can be driven away! Asking price is £5500. Located near Bristol.

DMS for sale
1973 ex London Transport DMS for sale for continued preservation only. Bus is located in east Kent and has outside
storage available at £45 per month. She is very tatty but solid and although she runs and moves under her own
power she will need a tow. Lots of work done to her but a new project forces sale and she is currently a kit of parts.
She comes with some seats, handrails, spare glass etc. £950.

Storage available in Merseyside
The North West Vehicle Restoration Trust is a newly founded group set up by a small group of preservationists to
improve the quality of storage for their preserved buses. The Trust has a limited number of secure parking spaces,
indoor or outdoor, for preserved buses in our excellent unit in Kirkby, Merseyside. There are superb facilities
available to vehicle owners, including pits and paintshop, and the site has good security. Very reasonable rates

Newport Corporation photo wanted
About a year ago I came across a photo on the web of a High Street scene in Newport, Gwent /
Monmouthshire, with a Newport Guy Arab double decker in the foreground. There were lots of people and
cars milling around in the background, and the caption said something like "Busy Saturday in Newport
High Street, early 1960s". Now I can't find it.

Provincial pictures wanted
Wanted: Photos of AEC Regent 1 / Park Royal Gosport & Fareham No. 35 (Reg No BOR 767). As the bus
celebrates its 75th birthday I am keen to obtain rare photos. Your own photos would be appreciated,
especially when taken in unusual places.
I also need photos of its early life; I have only one from the thirties and that is before delivery
at AEC in September 1936. Some years were spent on the Foster Wheeler contract to Fawley Refinery.
