Lodekka for sale

For sale: Bristol Lodekka SRU 981, ex Hants and Dorset, which has now been extensively restored with full woodwork replaced, full re-panel on the outside including beading etc. The bus is practically new, fully restored inside with new leather ribbed seats, all inside has been put back to original condition. She really looks like the day she left the factory, all that's left is the outside to be painted. Bodywork is all prepared, we could do this for you. The bus is mechanically sound and runs perfect, 6LW engine which is dry and doesn't smoke etc. The bus will make a great addition for a preservationist or to go into a commercial operation.

Leopard / Plaxton for sale

For sale; Leyland Leopard PSU3E/4R Plaxton Supreme IV JIL 2426 (originally registered BTL 485X when delivered in 1982), now in Pennine livery. MoT expired but drives fine, will need a very small amount of work to the air system, but apart from that it seems fine. Interior is original and in very good condition, apart from some beading that requires re-riveting on (someone tried to stick it on with silicon. WHY !!!) and a couple of small areas of panel corrosion. The vehicle is in good condition.

We are looking for a new home for our Ailsa. A972 YSX was new to Fife before being sold by Stagecoach to Cardiff City Transport. After serving 44 years in the industry and now retired, I have finally completed my autobiography "Once a Busman". The 145 pages cover my work with such notable companies as Trent Barton, Nottingham City Transport and Bristol Omnibus. I dallied with National Express (London-Nottingham-Newcastle) to try and get it out of my blood and also their Rail Replacement unit based at Birmingham, managing the West Coast Line from Rugby to London Euston.

Seat frames and other parts wanted

I am looking for seat frames (and cushions) for a Duple Dominant bus (ex United Counties Ford OVV59R). The bus currently has the full number of seats, but only 60% are Duple, the rest are from anything that fitted (Olympians, VRs etc) so it's rather colourful!

We are going to have the seats retrimmed but would like the seat frames to be at least the same shape and size before we go to that expense. I am seeking information on Burlingham Seagull bodies of the Mark 7 series, the last of the traditional Seagull shape but with panoramic windows. This is to assist with the restoration of Blue Bus Services Daimler Freeline Dr 18, 120 JRB. As far as I am aware only 2 Seagull Mk VII are now in existence.
