Queen Mother's Bedford for sale
Queen Mother's Bedford PFK / Willowbrook DP20F, 300 petrol engine, 5-speed gearbox. New in 1971 to Clarence House as NLT 4 & used to transport Queen Mother's staff between Royal residences. Refurbished by Arlington Motors in 1988 for Francis Special Playgroup in Germany, re-reg WCO 466M, a BFPO number. Sold to Lakeland Motor Museum in 1993 but not exhibited, re-reg in 2001 as RBY 764K.

Bedford FOR FREE !
I have a Bedford bus (regn. FUU 977V) ex Avon/Somerset Police, at my house in the South Wales Brecon Beacons area, which sadly I must get rid of as I am moving. Body conversion by Maxeta (conversion number 0669) fitted with a Bedford 5.5 litre straight six diesel, power steering and aircon (aircon radiator is huge). I DO NOT want any money for this vehicle, I would rather it went to a good home and be cared for. The body is of galvanised construction with the police type windows in it. I have not started this vehicle for over 12 months. I have tried, but there is a problem on the distribution panel behind the driver's seat which I have not had the time to look at. I must move this vehicle by the 10 March or the scrapman will have to take it.

Seddon Indicator Switch wanted
My 1954 Seddon Pennine in New Zealand is missing the indicator switch on the right-hand side of the steering column. On the side of the arm is the horn button with the high/low beam (which works) but we don't have the indicator, which I believe has a bulb inside, but I'm not really sure as I have never seen one. Approx 58mm between centres of fixing holes. Leyland O.600 engine oil filters
The Leyland O.600 engine oil filter is now obsolete as the major manufacturers discontinued production of it at least two years ago and residual stocks have now apparently dried up. The Greater Manchester Transport Society based at the Museum of Transport in Manchester (having 18 PD2s & 3s in the collection) has commissioned a mini production run, and now has these new oil filters in stock, and is able to release a quantity for purchase by other owners of Leyland O.600 engines.
This filter is of quality Scandinavian manufacture and is equivalent to the following Leyland and other filter makers’ part numbers;
The price for each filter is £15.00 and includes the gasket for the filter housing. The filters can be reserved by email at email@ gmts.co.uk (remove the space after ‘@’), by phone on Wednesday evenings between 1930-2130 on 0161-205-1082 with Paul Wotton or Mark Prescott, or at weekends on 07729-883669. Payment (to G.M.T.S.) upon collection of the filters, which will be from the Museum by prior arrangement (alternative arrangements subject to negotiation) and they will be also available (subject to any stock remaining) from our Society spares stall at our Spring Transport Festival on 15th/16th March. In the event of demand outstripping supply it is likely that we will take orders and commission a second run of the filters. (1/08)

Bowser or Westerham Coaches pictures wanted
My father worked for L.V.Bowser, a small coach company based in Sundridge, near Sevenoaks, Kent, from the age of 16 until he left and started his own haulage company in 1961. L.V.Bowser operated from 1932 until around 1964. Also G.Bowser (trading as Westerham Coaches) were based in Westerham, Kent. I passed my PSV driving test with this company in a twin steer Bedford VAL - I think the registration was ROT 365G, it was purchased from Banstead Coaches around 1974/75. Any photographs of L.V.Bowser Ltd and/or Westerham Coaches would be appreciated. I am quite prepared to meet any cost for the pictures and postage. Where is this Blackburn PD2?
ETF 485F, Leyland PD2A/27 / East Lancs H37/28F was new 8/67 as Darwen 37, becoming Blackburn 137 in the fleet transfer of April 1974. Renumbered 55 in 1977, it was converted to a service vehicle and renumbered 507 around 1980. When retired it was bought privately, but then sold in the mid-1990s to someone in Kent. Does it still survive? If so, where? Many photos were taken of it as a recovery vehicle - does anyone have any?

Alder Valley pictures wanted
I am looking for photos of buses owned and used by Aldey Valley between 1972 - 1977, especially those based at Maidenhead. I worked there during this period, but never took any shots, and I need to illustrate an artcle that I am writing about my time there.

Where is this Bedford OB?

The coach registered LRO 296 was bought by Mitsubishi Japan circa 1990 from Skill of Nottingham, reportedly for publicity purposes, and has not been seen since. I realise that Mitsubishi is a vast organisation & it may not be with the motors division. I have tried contacting some Mitsubishi divisions but this has proved fruitless & many do not publicise their email address. I would be grateful therefore for any information on LRO 296.

Canterbury memories
When I was a a small child I went hop picking with neighbours. Sometimes the transport was East Kent Dennis Lancets and some farms used E.Banks of Sturry, near Canterbury. I have tried to find out more of E.Banks without success. They ran coaches, and I remember in particular two Bedford OBs with utility-like bodies. I remember sitting at the back of one of these - it had one seat either side of an emergency door in the rear. The livery I think was brown and cream. Another Canterbury opperater, Drew's bus services had a garage next to Canterbury bus station and ran a service to St Augustine's Mental Hospital at Chartham. Their livery was grey, and I think their Chartham service ran from the above bus station.

Provincial photo wanted
Wanted; Photo of two or more Gosport & Fareham Omnibus Co (Provincial) Park Royal AEC Regents at Park Royal coachworks before delivery. I am almost sure it was at Park Royal due to the typical sheds behind (I suppose it might just have been at the AEC but I doubt it). It will have been taken during the period 1936-1940. I last saw this photo in 1950 in the Provincial office so I know it existed at some point.

Eastern Counties RE seat covering
Can anyone tell me which seat covering would have been used in my 1969 Eastern Counties Bristol RE coach with ECW body? I have vague memories of red pvc fluted seat upholstery (sometimes a little grubby and sticky), and the bottom layer of material still on my driver's seat is indeed red pvc. A number of people have told me however that this material was not used on Eastern Counties coaches, in which case perhaps I am thinking of the seats in the Red & White coach of the same era.
